Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect your data

Last updated: 2 January 2026. This policy applies to p2p-platforms.eu (the "Site"), a comparison website operated from Germany. We keep data processing minimal - no user accounts, no analytics trackers, no advertising pixels. This page explains what we do collect and why.

1. Who controls your data

The data controller is the Site operator, contactable at [email protected]. Postal address and registration details are available on the imprint page.

2. What data we collect

Server logs (automatic)

When you visit the Site, our web host records standard server logs: your IP address (anonymised after 7 days), timestamp, requested URL, browser user-agent, referrer URL. These logs are retained for 30 days to detect technical errors and prevent abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest in site security and operation (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).

Contact emails (voluntary)

If you email us at [email protected], we keep your message and reply thread until the enquiry is resolved, then delete it after 90 days. We never add your address to a mailing list without explicit consent. Legal basis: contract performance or legitimate interest in communication (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)(f)).

Cookies

The Site uses no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no social-media embeds. A single technical cookie may store your language preference (EN/FR/IT/ES) for 30 days. No third-party cookies are set by us; outbound affiliate links may set cookies on the destination platform - those are governed by that platform's privacy policy, not ours.

3. How we use your data

Server logs: to maintain site security, diagnose technical issues, monitor for abuse. Contact emails: to answer your question. We never sell, rent or share personal data with third parties for their marketing. We never build user profiles or track you across the web.

4. Third-party links

The Site contains affiliate links to P2P lending platforms (marked with rel="nofollow noindex" and disclosed on every money page). When you click an affiliate link, you leave our site and enter the platform's domain. That platform's privacy policy applies from that point forward. We have no access to data you submit on external sites.

We earn a commission if you register or invest via an affiliate link - see how we earn - but the platform does not share your personal details with us beyond anonymised conversion confirmation.

5. Data retention

We do not maintain long-term user databases or backups containing personal data.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object to processing, and - where applicable - data portability and withdrawal of consent. Because we collect minimal data and hold it briefly, most requests result in "no data found". To exercise your rights, email [email protected] with sufficient detail to identify any data.

Right to lodge a complaint: if you believe we have mishandled your data, contact your national data protection authority (DPA). For Germany, that is the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

7. Security

The Site is served over HTTPS. Server access is password-protected and logged. We apply standard technical and organisational measures appropriate to a content-only website. No payment data or sensitive personal information is collected.

8. Children

The Site is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we learn that a child's data has been submitted, we delete it immediately.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in law or practice. The "Last updated" date at the top will change. Material changes will be noted on the homepage for 30 days. Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance.

10. Questions

Email [email protected] for clarification or to exercise your rights. We aim to reply within 5 working days.
